Tyler Gompf, CEO of Tell Us About Us, asserts, “We accept this Spirit award on behalf of anyone that has ever had to say the phrase, ‘We are headquartered in Winnipeg,’ and then had to endure the stereotypes of long winters and big mosquitoes. TUAU is a very innovative and community-minded organization and we are proud recipients of the first Annual Spirit of Winnipeg award.”

The award recipients were selected by a panel of eight judges from among 49 applicants. "The goal of innovation is positive change -- making something better," said Chamber president and CEO Dave Angus. "There's great innovation happening in Winnipeg, and it comes in many different forms. It's not just about inventions, but about better approaches and practices that contribute to the vibrancy of our businesses and our city." The recipients: Red River College, in the Not-for-Profit category; Tell Us About Us, Small Business; Acrylon Plastics, Medium Business; and New Flyer Industries, Large Business.
